Why this exists.

Hey all, welcome to the party!

I’m Seth — the man behind the curtain at Unfound Sounds. I guess in a nutshell, I’m an indie musician and producer who loves to make music like no one’s listening (because they usually aren’t). Over the past couple decades of doing this, it's fascinating to me that no matter the reach I get, I still find the process of creating something incredibly satisfying.

Which brings me to my mission here at Unfound Sounds: I hope to shine a light on the incredible music being made by indie artists like yourself that goes largely unheard.

With the impact of AI on an already saturated market, being heard is harder than ever before. Not only are you competing with other talented artists, now you’re competing with machines that have been trained to rip-off those talented artists and can output a finished song in seconds. For this reason, I will not accept submissions that have been generated by AI, and I have my methods for identifying them!

Along those same lines, I can assure you that every review here is written by a human (probably me) who actually sat down and listened to the song. There are no shortcuts to this process and it takes time and a passion for discovering new sounds.
